Microsoft Office is an interactive suite of programs that makes your work easier and more professional looking without a lot of hassle.

1. The icons are the same from program to program. Once you learn what the icons stand for in one program, you will automatically know what they mean in the Microsoft's other programs.

2. You can copy and paste between programs. You can easily copy and paste information and graphics from one program to another. You can also edit anything that you copy and paste.

3. If you know MS Office, you will know similar office suites. When you understand a concept with Microsoft Office, this information is transferable to other office suites. Other suites such as Lotus and Open Office work very similar.

4. You can paste links that are automatically updated. You can easily link two documents together by pasting a link. For example an Excel chart can be linked to Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. When you update the chart, the other documents and presentations are automatically updated.

5. Send a Word document to PowerPoint with two strokes. With a few click of the mouse you can set up a presentation. Clicking on File, Send to, Microsoft Office PowerPoint. This creates the basic presentation outline, then add some details and formatting.

6. Office documents can be saved as Web pages. Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents can be saved as web pages by clicking on File, Save as web page. Publisher can also be saved as a web page by clicking on File, Publish to the web.

7. Microsoft Office has many free templates. Microsoft has many professionally designed free templates. Templates can help even new users produce attractive documents. Click here to get your free Microsoft templates.

8. Documents can be emailed by using Send to. Word, Excel and PowerPoint can be emailed from within themselves. For example, open a Word document, click on File, Send to, Mail Recipient. Publisher can also be sent by clicking on File, Send email, Send this Page as Message.

9. Microsoft updates Office periodically. Microsoft updates Office periodically the same as their other software. The updates are free and can be found here.

10. Microsoft Office has forums to ask questions. There are many free forums to get answers for Microsoft Office questions. Click here to go to the forums.

12. Microsoft Office has free training events. Microsoft has free training events, some are online and others are located all over the US. Click here to find training events in your area.
