Certificate Color Combinations Schemes

If you are a graphic designer or work with graphics for a living, you know about colors and how they work together. The rest of us need to read this article!

Working with color schemes can be frightening for a newbe! The combinations below will help get you started with your projects. Two color combinations work well for certificates. Either color can be used for the words or the border.

2 Color Combinations

  • Blue / Purple
  • Blue / Teal
  • Breen / Blue
  • Brown / Cream
  • Burgundy / Gray
  • Cream / Mint Green
  • Cream / Red
  • Cream / Royal Blue
  • Green / Blue
  • Red / Orange
  • Slate / Black

Single colors

Single colors work well with a white or another light color background. When using one color, use either three different fonts, or three font formations. For example, combinations would be bold, italic, underlined or different sizes.

Color like; Dark Teal, Sage Green, Salmon, Sky Blue and Teal are common.

Multiple Color Schemes

These color schemes work well together. The color names are my interpretation of the color and the numbers represent their RGB formulas.

  • Navy 0, 0, 128
  • White 255, 255, 255
  • Black 0, 0, 0
  • Light Gray192, 192, 192

  • Blue Gray 0, 102, 153
  • Light Gray 234, 228, 230
  • Misty Green131, 158,143
  • Black 0, 0, 0

  • Almost Black 6, 6, 6
  • Very Dark Blue 83, 35, 102
  • Cream 253, 250, 215
  • Dark Brown 123, 0, 6

  • Light Blue 0, 153, 204
  • Tan 220, 204, 180
  • White 255, 255, 255
  • Black 0, 0, 0
