Microsoft Word Does More Than Just Business

Microsoft Word is very versatile and can be used to create projects that are not business related. This computer craft project uses an Avery Business Card template.

This project uses Microsoft Word and any plain or lightly colored card stock that can be cut into 2 ½ x 3 inch cards. The plant names should be centered both horizontally and vertically. The labels can be laminated, or if you do not have a laminator, go to the craft store and purchase a roll of clear plastic that has a sticky side. This plastic may be in the scrap book section.

Cut the labels apart with scissors or use a rotary cutter and a ruler. Cut the plastic about 10 ½ inches x 13 inches. Lay the individual labels on the sticky side of the plastic, spaced about ½ inch apart. Lay another piece of the same size plastic on top of the labels and press to seal them. Cut apart.

Make a holder from a 12 inch piece of #18 galvanized wire. Use needle nose pliers and twist one end down and make 3 loops. The label can be inserted inside of a loop and then into the plant.
