Have you always wanted to be on a magazine cover? Now you can by creating your own. Use Microsoft Word or Publisher or any publishing type program.
Magazine Cover
- Open Microsoft Publisher, Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office, Publisher.
- Open a blank publication.
- Scan your picture into your document.
- Format your picture, click on the picture to turn it on, change the size = 8 x 10, (close to it), change the layout to = horizontal .5 From top left corner, and the vertical .5 From top left corner. If your picture does not fit the entire page, crop it or insert an AutoShape behind it and fill with a coordinating color. (Insert, Picture, AutoShapes, Basic Shape, click on the rectangle, fill with color, click on Arrange, Order, Send to back.)
- Create the Magazine name by using WordArt. Click INSERT, Picture, WordArt. Choose a style by clicking on it. Type the name of your magazine. Change the font, color and size if you like, click OK.
- Save your document as "Magazine Cover (name)."
- Create titles of articles by inserting Text Boxes.
- Create a white shipping label by inserting an AutoShape. Click on INSERT, Picture, AutoShape, Basic Shapes, click on the rounded corner rectangle. Add text by right clicking on the shape, click on Add Text. If you have a barcode font, type some numbers here. Format the AutoShape by clicking on the shape to turn it on, adjust the size, fill color and location.
- Print on photo paper. When finished, the picture will need to be cut down to fit into an 8 x 10 frame.
