PowerPoint is one of Microsoft's fun computer software programs. PowerPoint can be used for many different projects, an example would be to help your child study.
Use the AutoContent Wizard to create the basic presentation. Look at the left side of your screen and you will see the outline for the presentation. Click on the first Title, delete it and type the new information, for example a question from your text book.
Then click on the bullet point, select it and delete the text, then type the answer. Continue changing each slide until they are filled, or delete any unneeded slides.
Now add some movement! With the Custom Animation tools, your text and graphics can zoom in and out and even follow curly lines.
How to:
Open PowerPoint, click on Start, All Programs, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint (red Circle)
Click on FILE, New, AutoContent Wizard, (look at the right side, it's the third option)
Click on Next, Generic, Next, On-Screen Presentation, Next
Click in box under Presentation title:, type your title, for example History
Click in the box next to Footer:, type the child's name or something else fun, click on Finish
On the left side of your screen, you should see an Outline, click on title of slide #2 and change the text to a question or maybe a date in history
Click on the first Bullet text on slide #2 of the left side of the outline and change the text
Continue changing the slides until you have all of the questions and answers you need
Add some movement
Click on the slide Title of screen 1, (the actual slide)
Click on SLIDE SHOW, Custom Animation, Add Effect, choose from; Entrance, Emphasis, Exit and Motion Path
Follow the small black arrows in the dialog box to select from many different movements, you can also combine more than one motion
Under Effect, Motion Paths, use the Draw Custom Path tool, click on the slide in several places, double click when you finish drawing the path
Continue adding movement until all the slide are finished
Run the slide be clicking on the Play button, or run the entire show by clicking on the Slide Show button, both on the lower right of the screen
