Microsoft Office has integrated features that allows you to combine documents from it's different software programs. Toolbars and Icons are the same.

D. Creating the presentation

1. Slide #1 Starting the presentation

Type the heading: PowerPoint is Fun

Type in the text box: Click on the text box, Then type your text

2. Slide #2 Insert a New Slide

Click on INSERT, NEW SLIDE, click on the second slide, OK

Type the heading: Know the Purpose

Type the bullets:

  • What will the presentation show
  • Who will be your audience
  • How do you want the audience to respond
  • What colors do you want
  • What fonts
  • What graphics

3. Slide #3 Formatting Slides

Click on INSERT, NEW SLIDE, click on the second slide, OK

Type the heading: Formatting Slides

Type the bullets:

  • Save your presentation often
  • Select text to change fontsInsert text boxes, click INSERT, TEXT BOX, click on slide where the box will be, and drag the mouse to draw box
  • Delete text boxes by clicking on the border, and then delete

4. Slide #4 Inserting Pictures/Graphics

Pictures may need to be resized or moved after inserting into your slide. Click and drag the picture to the desired location, or right click graphic, and click FORMAT PICTURE.

Recolor Picture – While in the FORMAT PICTURE option box, click on RECOLOR, choose colors.

Click on INSERT, NEW SLIDE, click on the first slide third row, OK

Type the heading: Insert a Picture

Type the bullet:

Click on INSERT, PICTURE, CLIP ART, click on a Category, click on Picture, click INSERT button

5. Slide #5 Animation

There are several types of animation. This slide will be using Preset animations.

Type the text below, select DRIVE-IN TEXT, click on SLIDE SHOW, PRESET ANIMATION, and click on DRIVE-IN

Select FLYING EFFECT, click on SLIDE SHOW, PRESET ANIMATION, and click on FLYING EFFECT

Repeat for Laser and Typewriter

Type the heading: Animation

Type the bullets: (each bullet should be typed in a separate text box)

  • Drive-in Text
  • Flying Effect
  • Laser Text Effect
  • Typewriter Text Effect

Click in the Picture box on the slide
