Have you ever wished that you could try out new software before you purchase it? We usually try on shoes before buying. With Shareware you can do just that. You can download it to your hard drive from the Internet. After using it for the specific amount of time, if you like it, you can purchase it then. If the Shareware does not meet your expectations, you have only lost some time, not money.

Shareware allows the user to try it before buying. Usually, users can use the software for thirty, sixty or ninety days before purchasing. Some Shareware will allow you to use it a specific number of times before buying. When the free use period is over, many of the software functions will be automatically disabled.

Freeware is completely free. The only restriction is that it cannot be sold to someone else. Freeware is usually a smaller program that will perform only a few tasks. Frequently, they are software tools or utilities.

To find Shareware or Freeware software, use any search engine, in the "Search" box, type either "Shareware" or "Freeware," followed by the type of software you are looking for. The result will be a list of links you can chose from. You can find Shareware at www.shareware.com. A good site for Freeware is www.freewarehome.com.
