Learn Some New Skills Free
Summer doesn't have to be boring if you have a computer and internet access. Libraries have computers and internet you can use for free if you don't have your own.
Summer is the best time to learn some new skill. Television is mostly repeats you're your friends are away on vacation. Suite101 has lots of choices. In the technology section you can read about computer software, networking, the internet, graphic design and more. There are on-line classes you can take for free. (My favorite four letter word!)
Start with the class on Microsoft Word. Microsoft Office 2000 Classes. Word is one of the easier software programs to learn. You should be able to do each function with out looking at the directions. Don't be afraid to do the exercises several times for practice. Remember: it's only hard the first time.
After learning some of the basics, go to Computer Software and create a , or a New Baby Announcement or Individualized Wrapping Paper. All created with your computer.
